Although there is perfect answer to an essay question, particularly so in view of the examination time constraint, an answer which covers most of the important aspects of an essay question with good elaboration should earn students close to full marks. Mr Quek have written many economics model essays and is still writing economics model essays. These models are written with the objective of showing students what economic concepts to apply in answering various theoretical and topical questions, or simply is the discovering of ‘what to write’. In addition, they also show students how to explain economic concepts in responding to various questions or what is learned in ‘how to write it’.
Mr. Edmund Quek helps over 75 per cent of the students in his economics tuition classes obtain a distinction in the ‘A’ level economics examination nearly every year. In some years, the distinction rate hit as high as 90 per cent, with the remaining students mostly scoring a B. Over his one and a half decade-long teaching career, he has taught more than 2600 students on a tuition basis.
