Mr. Edmund Quek is with close to two decades of teaching experience and likewise holds a Master’s Degree in Economics (MSSc) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) which makes him among some of the most highly qualified economics tutors in Singapore. Moreover, he authored several economics which are recommended readings in several junior colleges in Singapore.

Mr. Edmund Quek helps over 75 per cent of the students in his economics tuition classes to obtain a distinction in the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level Economics examination nearly every year. In some years, the distinction rate hit as high as 90 per cent with the remaining students mostly scoring a B.
As further proof to his effective teaching skills, many of his former students were awarded prestigious scholarships to read economics at prestigious universities which include Cambridge University, Stanford University, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania and University of California, Berkeley. This consistently good result is achieved in part with the help of the economics lecture notes and the economics model essays that he personally prepared for his students. Over his one and a half decade-long teaching career, he has taught more than 2600 students on a tuition basis.
Mr. Edmund Quek is aware that despite the economic prosperity of Singapore, there are still some students from needy families who are less privileged than their peers. And to put these students on an equal footing to compete with their more privileged peers, he provides them with free or subsidized economics tuition as long as they can give good reason for their need for financial assistance.
By and large, these students are under the Financial Assistance Scheme or whose parents are under the Public Assistance Scheme. Thus far, there have been over 60 beneficiaries from this financially-aided economics tuition scheme. Many of them are currently reading economics at university and hence improving their financial conditions in the future.
Apart from doing well in the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level Economics examination, Mr. Edmund Quek also teaches students in his economics tuition classes how to apply the concepts they learn in economics to increase their wealth in the future.
