As the Director of The Pain Specialist, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Dr. Yeo Sow Nam is also the Vice President of Pain Association of Singapore and a Ministry of Health appointed advisory member for Pain Management. He is also the president of World Institute of Pain, South East Asia Chapter. Appointed as an examiner for the esteemed fellowship of interventional pain practice, Dr. Yeo is also awarded by world institute of pain and is the only South East Asian to be given this honour.
Trained in the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney, Dr. Yeo is the first in Singapore to obtain accreditation in the pain management specialty, that is awarded by the Australian and New Zealand Faculty of Pain Medicine. He is also the first Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (USA) in Singapore and a registered acupuncturist. He is also an anaesthetist and had accreditation by both the local Specialist Accreditation Board and the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Dr. Alvin Yeo is Consultant at The Pain Specialist, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He is also a Visiting Consultant in Pain Medicine and immediate past Head of Chronic Pain at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and was formerly Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Dr. Alvin Yeo trained and worked at top London Teaching Hospitals renowned as centers of clinical excellence. He graduated from Bart’s & The London Medical school, London, UK. He then completed his specialist anaesthesia training (accredited specialist in Anaesthesiology in Singapore and UK) based at King’s College Hospital, London, followed by Pain Medicine training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, a large well-established pain center of expertise. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Royal College of Anaesthetists, UK, the first Pain specialist in Singapore with the UK fellowship. Prior to returning to Singapore medical practice, he was a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at St George’s Hospital, London, another major London teaching hospital.
