NEW SCHEDULE FOR YOGA TRAINING PROGRAMS OFFERED BY ROUTES OF YOGA

Routes of Yoga, a registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance which leads Retreats, Immersions and Teacher Trainings worldwide crafted to deepen the practice and expand horizons, announces its new schedule for Yoga Teacher Training Programs.

These programs are anchored at helping practitioners dive deep into all major aspects of Yoga and learn to share their knowledge with others. The upcoming programs are scheduled on 7th to 30th of May for a Course and Residential training program; on 6th to 26th of August for only a Course training program; and from 1st to 23rd of October also for a Course training program.

The program is patterned from the unique curriculum designed by the ROY teachers aligned with its visions and goals. This program moves through three major areas of development necessary to share the practice of yoga with ample knowledge, confidence and compassion.

First is The Body. The ROY believes that building a strong physical practice sets a solid foundation for the training program. The main elements and qualities of a physical practice are explored while anatomy lectures pave the way for asana workshops which focus in on the individual asana groups. These concepts are applied in targeted daily yoga asana classes and time is set aside for students to get direct clarification on any issues that arise during the day’s explorations.

Second is The Beyond Asanas. These topics cover the more subtle concepts and techniques of yoga, such as chakras, kriyas, pranayama and meditation. Yoga history and the analysis of key philosophical texts allow students to place these techniques within the bigger context of yoga and understand their individual purposes towards its ultimate goal. The Beyond Asana modules provide a deeper view point for one’s own practice as well as a contemplative base from which to teach from.

Third is The Art of Teaching. Teaching Methodology, Sequencing and Teaching Labs offer the tools and guided training sessions to lead multi-level classes with clarity and confidence. Ample time is allocated to Teaching Labs for students to gain hands-on experience in leading classes and get individual feedback and guidance from both their peers and the teaching faculty.

The topics covered in The Body and The Beyond Asanas teach students the core principals of yoga and how to implement them into their daily lives. The goal here is for students to gain confidence in their own practice first and how it can positively impact their living and perception of the world. The Art of Teaching modules build onto this. While a comprehensive understanding of yoga and a regular practice are necessary pre-requisites for teaching, alone they do not ensure a clear and efficient transfer of information. The Art of Teaching subjects focus on developing these key attributes of a teacher along with nurturing each participant’s individual teaching style.

Routes of Yoga works to facilitate a person’s growth and understanding of yoga through their framework of support and knowledge. Theory and practice are carefully weaved together to provide practitioners with a genuine understanding of their practice, comprehended by the mind and experienced through the body.

The programs are rooted in the ancient traditional teachings of yoga.
